Today, Spectrum Contracting completes over 200 projects a year for industrial, municipal, commercial, and institutional clients all over the midwest. The company specializes in offering the right solutions with the right timing to fit every customer's unique set of circumstances. The company is continually evaluating restorative and protective products and technologies in order to provide the highest quality, most comprehensive array of services in the industry. Today, time is almost always of the essence. Spectrum Contracting has recognized this for years and has developed a corporate culture and a field crew mentality of doing whatever it takes to meet our customer's time schedule. Nearly every client Spectrum serves seems to have less and less time and more and more to do. That may explain why a growing number of Spectrum Contracting customers have stopped "shopping around" and have come to rely on Spectrum Contracting for their restoration and protective coating needs and the freedom that provides. Their time seems to be too valuable to spend overseeing and/or babysitting a contractor they are not familiar with. Spectrum Contracting continues to seek clients who, having "been there, done that", are looking for first-class workmanship from professional people and constant reliable service they can count on. Spectrum Contracting financial strength can be simply measured in 5's:
Put us to work for
you. History
Martin Products strength was in the protective and decorative coatings and lining business while Structural Bonding Systems excelled in the concrete restoration service. Together, Spectrum Contracting offers the complete package of coatings and linings and concrete restoration to service and solve its customers problems and needs. Since its beginning in 1960, Spectrum Contracting has continually looked for and carefully evaluated emerging construction technologies that would better service and more efficiently and effectively solve its customers problems and needs. In the 1960's Spectrum Contracting saw the need to protect parking structures from the aggressive upper midwest environment. At a time when practically no one was concerned about parking deck deterioration, Spectrum Contracting began installing protective membrane systems as an answer to what would become a huge problem of the future. In the 1970's Spectrum Contracting brought the epoxy injection technology of Adhesive Engineering to Wisconsin to restore the structural integrity of concrete structures without removing and replacing the concrete. In the 1980's Spectrum Contracting became a certified installer of the nations leading expansion joint manufacturer, offering their customers first class products with top quality installation. In 1992, Spectrum Contracting began investigating another technology which it believed would help a number of its customers protect substrates that were previously unprotecteable due to time constraints, abusive environments and other factors. The technology was polyurea, and in 1993 Spectrum Contracting began installing it to fill its customers needs. In 1995, Spectrum Contracting became one of the founding members and owners of EnviroChem Technologies, which would wind up leading the industry in contractor training, system improvements, and quality control. (In 2001, this company was sold to Sherwin Williams/General Polymers). As Spectrum Contracting
(then known as Martin Products) and Structural Bonding Systems continued
to offer more and more services to their clients (in some cases the same
client), the owners of the two companies decided to make a bold move and
merge the two companies into one. The belief was that by having all of
the restoration and coating technologies under one company, they would
be better able to serve all their customers. This has turned out to be
true. Not only has the company experienced continued growth, but its people
throughout the company continue to perform at exemplary levels. And it
is its people, and the grace of God, that has made Spectrum Contracting
the right choice for thousands of companies, municipalities and institutions
for over 42 years. We look forward to an opportunity to serve you.
